Musicians and Dance Gymnastics

Dancing Musicians in the Gym
I’m sure most gym and dance coaches are familiar with 80′s metal. But what you may not have realized is that some serious badasses participated in dance and gymnastics in their youth (ballet in particular.) Tommy Lee, drummer of classic metal band Motley Crue took tap and ballet. Tommy’s coolness needs no further explanation… However, there is another glam rock musician who continues to participate in ballet to this very day who is of more questionable character. His name is none other than Kip Winger, bassist of Winger. Granted, the song “Seventeen” would be a perfect candidate for any accomplished cheer music mix routine, but the verdict is still out on this one. You be the judge… Another musician also notable for his taste in the performance arts is Tupac Shakur; a gangster rapper in the early 90′s who is considered by many to be a pioneer of the entire Hip Hop genre.
If you know of any other famous musicians who took up a craft at dancing or gymnastics, leave a comment!
